Bill Martin is a teacher, translator, editor, and cultural organizer and has been a Faculty Associate of the Institute for Writing and Thinking since 2007. He was Head of the Literature and Society Program at Al-Quds Bard College for Arts & Science in Palestine for several years. Currently he teaches for the Barenboim-Said Academy in Berlin, Germany, where he lives, in addition to working as an academic editor for the Max Planck Institute for Empirical Aesthetics in Frankfurt am Main. He has published a number of translations from Polish and German, including Michał Witkowski’s novels Lovetown (2012) and Eleven-Inch (forthcoming, Seagull Books).
